Before You Start

Prerequisites:

• Cooledge mobile app installed and logged in
• Customer information ready
• Basic site requirements assessed (power, mounting, access)

Step-by-Step Process

1. Quote Photos

• Site Photos: Take photos of installation areas and add overlay units
• Plans: Under Other / Plan, choose Draw plan on the portal or Blank canvas in the app to sketch the job, or open a photo there and switch on Plan. A plan prints full width on the quote PDF under its own Plan heading, while ordinary photos print two to a row. See Quote Photos and Plans

2. Unit Selection

• System Sizing: Choose appropriate capacity based on area size
• Brand Preference: Select customer's preferred brand or recommend suitable options
• Model Selection: Pick specific model based on features and budget

3. Installation Configuration

Power Supply Options:

• Assess electrical setup
• Choose from: Reuse, New Dedicated Circuit, RCBO upgrades ect.
• Factor in additional electrical labor if required

Outdoor Unit Mounting:

• Evaluate installation location
• Mounting defaults to Anti Vibration Mat. Change it if the install needs brackets, a slab or feet
• Consider access and maintenance requirements

Indoor Installation:

• Choose installation type: House or Apartment
• Configure trunking color to match property
• Set up condensate drainage options

4. Labor and Timing

• Time Allowance: Cooledge suggests 3 to 8 hours from the labour hours on the materials this option uses. Change it if the job is harder or easier than that
• Number of Installers: Choose single man or extra man based on job requirements
• Special Requirements: Add lifter or long ladder if needed

5. Quote Customization

• Quote Notes or Exclusions: Include specific requirements, exclusions or quote notes
• Adjustments: Add an extra charge to the total. The adjustment is never shown on the customer's quote. Negative adjustments are only available when the owner enables "Allow negative adjustments on quotes" in Settings > Quote Preferences > Quote Options
• Job Requirements: Document specific customer preferences or internal report notes (if needed)

6. Customer Setup

• Customer Information: Enter customer details and site address

7. Review and Generate

• Final Check: Review all settings and pricing
• Customer Approval: Present quote options to customer
• Quote Generation: Click "Upload Reports" to generate professional Online Quote and PDF's, the quote will be emailed to your customer automatically

Professional Presentation:

• Quality Photos: Ensure photos are clear and well-lit and include unit overlays, drawings or text to illustrate the full picture to your team and the customer. Use a plan when a sketch says more than a photo
• Detailed Notes: Include specific installation requirements or exclusions where needed
• Multiple Options: Provide basic and premium options when appropriate, simply create a duplicate quote and swap out the unit
